Niki
Trunk's Biography

Niki, Mike, and
Pugsy at the PAWS (Philadelphia Animal
Welfare Society) Fundraiser in 2007
Niki, 33, resides in Mullica Hill with her husband, Michael. A South
Jersey resident since she was 16, Niki received a Bachelors degree
from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) in 1996
and a law degree and an MBA from Temple University in 2000. In
addition to zealously representing individuals, families, and
organizations as an attorney in South Jersey, Niki’s volunteer work
exemplifies her dedication and passion to our community.
Niki proudly serves as the co-chair of the Mullica Hill Relay for
Life, where money raised goes directly to local families struggling
with cancer. She has been an active member of the Harrison Township
Planning Board since 2006, and serves on the Board of the Harrison
Township Beautification Committee – an organization dedicated to
helping Main Street reach its full potential. Niki is also actively
involved in the Gloucester County Bar association, and is a member
of its Board of Trustees. Niki was also recently appointed by the
New Jersey Supreme Court to serve as a committee member to the
Office of
Attorney Ethics for Gloucester and Camden counties. As a result of
this high professional honor, Niki's responsibilities include
overseeing the ethical conduct of other attorneys practicing in
South Jersey.
Because the term of the only female currently on Township Committee
ends in December, Niki presents the only opportunity to maintain a
female perspective on Township Committee. Harrison Township is
approximately
50% female, and Niki and Lou feel it is important to have Township
Committee be representative of the makeup of our township.
Understanding how well people with genuine interests at heart can
work together to create something truly great, and how sometimes,
unfortunately, decisions can be made in local government that are
politically motivated, Niki has dedicated herself to ensuring that
Township Committee make decisions that are best for our residents,
not for any political aspirations.
Niki looks forward to serving Harrison Township residents as a
member of the Harrison Township Committee with the same passion,
energy, and enthusiasm she has shown though the Relay for Life, the
Beautification Committee, and the Planning Board. On November 6th,
come out and vote for Niki Trunk for Harrison Township Committee
Lou Manzo's
Biography

Lou, Joie, Talia, Alexis, and Marissa
at the Grand Canyon, 2006
Lou, 48, and his wife,
Joanna, have lived in Harrison Township with their three daughters –
Talia (21), Alexis (14) and Marissa (11) – since 1999. Like so many
families, Lou and Joanna moved to Harrison Township because of the
great quality of life and the strong school system. Talia graduated
from Clearview and now is attending Seton Hall University. Alexis is
a 9th grader at Clearview and Marissa is a 6th grader at PVS.
Lou was raised in Collingswood, NJ and attended Rutgers University,
majoring in Psychology, before spending seven years in the Casino
Gaming industry in Atlantic City. A transition to the financial
services industry in 1991 has lead to a career suited to Lou’s
strengths: Connecting well with people and turning intentions into
action. In 2005 he earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
designation, which is considered the most prestigious accreditation
in the industry. Lou uses this training and his ability to
communicate effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds to
make a profound difference in his client’s lives.
Like Niki, Lou believed in becoming part of the community through
involvement. His focus has been youth sports, where he has coached
basketball and/or soccer since 2001. He expanded his role by joining
the Harrison Soccer Board in 2004, where he was elected an Officer
in January 2007. Lou’s experience as a Board Member is the
foundation for Lou and Niki’s Harrison Township Youth Sports
Initiative, which includes ongoing communication with the leadership
of these organizations to ensure our children have the recreational
space they need and deserve.
Lou looks forward to serving all the citizens of Harrison Township
with the same enthusiasm he has dedicated to youth sports. On
November 6th, come out and vote for Lou Manzo for Harrison Township
Committee.
